Artefact to Art: children’s art inspired by antiquity
Drama Studio, Institute of Education
Free exhibition for the duration of the Conference
The Artefact to Art competition encourages children to create artworks (visual art, poems, and short stories) inspired by objects from classical antiquity. We will be exhibiting a selection of this artwork at the CA-FIEC conference.
Our exhibition at the CA annual meeting last year, held at the University of Leicester, included items selected from hundred of entries sent in from across four continents. This year, we look forward to displaying an equally broad range of works, showcasing some brilliant new works created by exciting young talent. Come along to the exhibition, and see the future creativity of our discipline!
The exhibition will be available to view, free of charge, throughout the conference.
For more information on the competition (closing deadline for entries 22nd March), see the website: https://le.ac.uk/archaeology/outreach/artefact-to-art
